Ben E. Keith Supports Rae's Hope

Ben E. Keith, a major regional food distributor headquartered in Fort Worth, has made a generous contribution to support the programs of Rae's Hope.  Ben E. Keith's contribution will enable Rae's Hope to reach more girls in providing programs on healthy living, physical fitness, teamwork, life skills, education and financial literacy.

One of Ben E. Keith's corporate philosophies is "To be good corporate citizens in all the communities in which we operate."    What a great example of that philosophy!

Thank you Ben E. Keith!

A Note From The Executive Director, Angela Fields

Coach Fields

Rae’s Hope prepares girls for life.  By teaching them life skills, encouraging education, physical fitness and healthy living Rae’s Hope hopes to empower girls to be successful in school and successful in life.

There is no better way to demonstrate the benefits of Rae’s Hope than by illustration and testimonials.  Over the next several months I want to share the stories of some of our Rae’s Hope girls and let them tell you, in their own words, how Rae’s Hope has helped them be successful in life.  Each month or so we’ll feature a different girl.

First up is Lorian Vaughn.  Lorian Vaughn started with Rae’s Hope at an early age and stayed with us until going on to college at Sam Houston State.  What a great success story she is and I’m so proud of  her!  Here’s how Lorian remembers her years in Rae’s Hope.

“Rae’s Hope played  a major part in creating the person I am today. Being a part of it taught me to be a leader, gave me a sense of belonging, and helped me to grow strong into my character....  I was blessed with the opportunity to be a part of Rae’s Hope. Not knowing that some of the girls I met would be friends that I’d grow with and keep a lifetime, I was just happy to be a part of something bigger than I could imagine. I can’t be any more grateful for what Coach Angela Fields gave me... She gave us hope and opportunity and made us feel important as individuals. Together, we took trips and played in volleyball tournaments and gained exposure and experience to succeed in life. It wasn’t just about the game of volleyball… It was so much more than that. It was about building relationships, learning how to interact in a professional matter, seeing something that you want and doing whatever’s necessary to achieve that goal.”

Next month I’ll share the story of another girl that has helped us achieve our goal of "Reviving Communities, One Child At A Time."

Thank you for your support of Rae’s Hope!

Angela
