This program teaches children the importance of healthy living by promoting daily exercise though our mandatory sports programs. This program also provides our youth with essential skills and materials that enable them to make healthy food choices. We host several sessions throughout the year utilizing the professional skills of volunteer Nutritionists and Chefs. Our volunteers facilitate classes that educate our children on the importance of body image and preparing healthy snacks and meals.
According to Healthyliving.org, most children get fewer nutrients in a whole month than they should get in a single day. 40% of our children already show symptoms associated with heart disease and diabetes.
